Who is Albert Juera?

File

Albert Juera Gros is a Senior SEO & GEO specialist. He has worked in organic search since 2017, first on his own projects and later for companies across very different sectors. He runs La Policía del SEO, the venture through which he offers his services.

His background combines the technical and the strategic: technical SEO and web architecture, research and content, local SEO, authority and link building, and industrial, B2B and international projects. In recent years he has added GEO — the work of making a company found and understood by AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, too.

Rather than chasing a specific ranking, he starts by understanding the business, prioritizing by impact and implementing alongside each company's team. Much of what he applies today he learned by building and sustaining his own projects, wins and setbacks included.

How a restaurant turned SEO into my career

In 2018 I left my Marketing degree at the University of the Basque Country and started working as a waiter at the Rafael Merlo restaurant in Las Arenas (Getxo). I don't see it as a failure: it was the moment practice started teaching me more than the classroom.

The restaurant was going through financial difficulties, so I started trying things to help fill tables: flyers, gift cards, review management, actions to raise the average ticket, a bit of online advertising and, finally, building the website. Of everything I tried, by far the most effective was ranking that website organically.

Over time, customers started coming in from Bilbao after finding the restaurant on Google. That left me with a question I couldn't shake: if SEO could bring customers to a restaurant, what could I build with my own projects? That curiosity was the real start of my career.

The most effective thing was ranking the website organically.

First major project of my own

Alsobre: from a first SEO project to an affiliate business

Own file

After the restaurant experience I discovered affiliate marketing and decided to take SEO into a project of my own. That's how Alsobre was born, a project specialized in mattresses and sleep.

I started out working with Amazon and later collaborated with over twenty brands in the sector. In its best years the project reached around €240,000 in annual revenue. It's worth being clear about that figure: it's revenue, not profit, and it corresponds to a specific period — roughly between 2018 and 2025 — not to the current situation.

Alsobre was my real school of information architecture, content, conversion and authority building. Much of what I apply today in company projects I learned there.

Turning point

When the project stopped working

No stage lasts forever, and Alsobre's ended through a combination of circumstances. There was a split between the partners and an unfavorable court ruling related to a trademark. At the same time, several Google changes significantly affected many affiliate projects, not just mine.

Together, all of that closed that chapter. At that point I had to choose between joining an agency or building a new one from scratch. I chose the latter: founding MuySEO with Daniel and carrying what I'd learned into a project with a future.

I'd rather tell it as it was: a turning point I came out of with more professional judgment than before.

New unit

From my own projects to working with companies

MuySEO was born in 2024 with a simple idea: take everything learned from my own projects and put it to work for companies across very different sectors.

Today I offer my services through La Policía del SEO, my own venture, focused on strategy, architecture, content, technical SEO, authority and GEO, always implementing alongside companies and their teams.

Client profile

Which companies Albert works with

I mostly work with SMEs and companies with their own in-house team, in sectors where SEO calls for technical and commercial judgment, not just content volume:

  • Industrial and B2B, with long sales cycles and technical audiences.
  • Healthcare, with sensitive content that demands precision and editorial judgment.
  • Ecommerce and retail, where product SEO and brand SEO coexist.
  • Services and local businesses, with very specific search intent.

Personal protocol

How Albert works

Protocol
  1. Diagnosis and priorities

I review the site's real situation and the sector: what's holding rankings back and what fixing it would actually be worth. No generic hundred-point audit — priorities are set by impact.

  2. Strategy and roadmap

I define goals, architecture and a work schedule together with the company before delivering anything.

  3. Implementation together

I work with each company's team: technical SEO, content, authority and GEO are executed in a coordinated way, not as separate tasks.

  4. Measurement and adjustment

Work is reviewed against real ranking and traffic data, and priorities are adjusted based on what's working.

The difference from a generic agency isn't price: there's no handoff to a junior team, and no account run in parallel with dozens of others. I lead the strategy, the implementation and the decisions myself, with judgment built across more than thirty projects, my own and for companies.

Working principles

  • Strategy comes before deliverables.
  • Priorities are decided by impact.
  • Implementation happens together with the company.
  • Technical, content and authority work are part of the same strategy.
  • Decisions are backed by data.
  • Communication must be understandable.
  • SEO requires consistency.
  • Top rankings are never guaranteed.
  • GEO extends SEO; it doesn't replace it.

Ongoing training

Mostly self-taught training

My training has been mostly self-taught and grounded in real projects. I've complemented it with courses and private communities. These aren't official university degrees or master's programs: they're specialized industry training.

Training focused on content and monetization through affiliate marketing.

  • 2021
